Mt. Pleasant offers you a variety of ministry opportunities where you can study the Word of God with other believers in a small group setting, participate in community outreach events, worship in song and sermon, as well as opportunity to serve the Lord in other mission related opportunities.
Girls in Action - GAs (7:00 pm-8:00 pm):
- Young GAs (1st through 3rd grade): These girls meet in the Sanctuary on Wednesday nights and are taken to their classroom in the Educational Building by their teachers. This group focuses on learning more about world-wide missions. They enjoy learning Bible verses, doing craft projects and praying together for missionaries around the world.
- Older GAs (4th through 5th grade): This group meets in the Sanctuary on Wednesday nights and are taken to their classroom in the Educational Building by their teachers. They study about and pray for world missions. The group helps families in the community as well as visits the local rest homes.
1st through 5th Grade Boys (7:00 pm-8:00 pm):
This group meets in the Sanctuary on Wednesday nights and is taken to their classroom by their teachers. The group participates in weekly lessons together to learn more about God and influence their walk as young men.
Jr. Youth (Sunday at 6:00 pm & Wednesday at 7:00 pm):
The Jr. Youth meets on both Sunday and Wednesday nights. At the start of the evening, they join with the Sr. Youth, in the old Sanctuary, for praise and worship before going to their class for a time of Bible study. The Jr. Youth have a fundraiser every year in April and they go on a Spiritual Growth camping retreat in the Summer as well as various outings throughout the year.
Sr. Youth (Sunday at 6:00 pm & Wednesday at 7:00 pm):
The Sr. Youth meets on both Sunday and Wednesday nights. At the start of the evening, they join with the Jr. Youth, in the old Sanctuary, for praise and worship before going to their class for a time of Bible study. The Sr. Youth go on a Spiritual Growth Retreat every summer where they mature in their knowledge of God and learn to walk closer with Him. This is a time of intense study and sharing with one another.
Heart to Heart (10:30 am):
Heart to Heart is a ladies mission group that meets on the first Tuesday morning of every month in the Conference Room (between Church Office & Pastor's Office). They minister mainly to local needs—both within the church and community. They help meet individual needs within our church family as well as reaching into the community to help support such organizations as The Grace of God Rescue Mission. These ladies also love to visit with our shut-ins who are not able to attend church.
Sisters of Service (7:00 pm):
The Sisters of Service meet in the Fellowship Hall on the first Tuesday evening of every month. The ladies enjoy a time of food and fellowship together as well as prayer and Bible study. This organization holds several fundraisers throughout the year to support their biggest ministry outreach within the community—the annual Church Fair. The group also works to meet needs both within and outside the church. Leader: Waynette Wells
Brotherhood (6:30 pm):
The Brotherhood men meet on the first Thursday of every month at 6:30 pm. They enjoy an evening meal together, share in a devotion time and have a planning time for various projects and ministries within the church as well as reaching out into the community. Leader: Wayne Smith
Senior Adults (time varies):
The Senior Adults meet once a month for a time of fellowship and outings together. This is a wonderful time of sharing and bonding together in Christ.
Adult Choir (5:00 pm):
The Adult Choir practices on Sundays in the Sanctuary. The choir sings each Sunday morning and performs a Christmas and Easter cantata each year.
Youth & Children Choir (6:00 pm):
The Youth & Children Choir meets on Wednesday evenings in the Choir Room. This group is for ages 1st through 12th grade. They have a fun time together as they work on a Christmas and Easter program for each year.
Ole Time Country Fair (November):
The Ole Time Country Fair is a ministry that reaches into the community by providing a safe and fun environment for families to play together. There are free games and rides for all to enjoy. Members in the church come together and work as a family, ensuring that the love of Christ is shown to others through the unity that we share with one another during this event. There are many ways to get involved and meetings are held to plan throughout the year.
