Meet Our Pastors

Our Senior Pastor's passion is sharing the love and gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone he meets. 

He grew up on Caroleen and later attended GWU, where he hearned degrees in Accounting, a Master of Business Administration, and a Master of Divinity.

Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church called him to serve as our full-time, senior pastor in 2024. Pastor Stephen is bi-vocational and also works at Cleveland Community College. 

He and his wife, Sally, are blessed with three grown children and four grandchildren. 

Wesley Wells is devoted to Jesus and delivering the gospel. He grew up in this community, with Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church playing an integral part. Yielding to God's call to the ministry at age 17, Wesley is pursuing God's will for his life.

Mt. Pleasant Baptist called him to serve as our part-time associate pastor in May 2026. Wesley is bi-vocational, working at Wells Jenkins & Wells Fresh Meats.

He and his wife, Maddie, live in Forest City. 

Preston "P.J." James has a heart for sharing the gospel and guiding middle and high school students in their life journeys to follow Jesus Christ.

Mt. Pleasant Baptist called him to serve as our part-time youth minister in 2025. P.J. is bi-vocational, working at Parker Hannifin while also pursuing degrees at NGU in Business and Divinity.

He and his wife, Lauren, have two young children and live in Forest City.
